Season comes to close at Peach Belt Tournament

GREENWOOD, S.C. | Brody Phillips scored five goals as the University of Alabama in Huntsville defeated Young Harris College 18-5 in a first-round match of the Peach Belt Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament Friday (April 28) evening at Van Taylor Stadium.

The fourth-seeded Chargers improved to 10-6, while the fifth-seeded Mountain Lions ended their season at 3-13.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

The Mountain Lions tied the match at 4 on a Tim Blanch goal off a Dylan Young assist 93 seconds into the second quarter.
Young Harris was limited to one goal over the next 43:27.
Blanch led Young Harris with two goals, while Wyatt Peek, David Traywick and Young had one each.
Peek, Tommy Chriszt and Young had one assist apiece.
Jacob Haas won nine face-offs and scooped up five ground balls.
Peek also corralled five ground balls, while Ben Soenen, Hunter Stagg, Lukus Olson and Blanch has three each.
Soenen led YHC with three caused turnovers, while Gage Duncan had two.
Dylan Wilbur posted 11 saves in the Mountain Lion net, while Bryce Parrish had four.
