GREENWOOD, S.C. | No. 11 Lander University defeated No. 44 Young Harris College 7-0 in a Peach Belt Conference men's tennis match Saturday (March 25) at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.
The Bearcats improved to 12-1 overall and to 3-0 in the PBC, while the Mountain Lions fell to 9-5 and 0-1. Young Harris returns to the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex April 2 for an 11 a.m. PBC match against No. 15 Flagler College.
INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:
- Pieke Bouman was the only Mountain Lion to go three sets. Bouman won the first set 6-4 at No. 2 singles before his opponent rallied for a 7-6 (4) win in set two. Lander won the super tiebreaker 11-9 to claim the win.
