AIKEN, S.C. | The University of South Carolina-Aiken opened the Peach Belt Conference softball schedule with a sweep of its doubleheader againt Young Harris College Saturday (Feb. 25) afternoon at J.H. Satcher Field.
The Pacers improved to 5-11 overall and to 2-0 in the PBC after wins of 9-1 in five innings and a 2-1 win in 11 innings in the nightcap. The Mountain Lions fell to 5-11 and to 0-2. The teams wrap up the weekend series with a 1 p.m. game Sunday (Feb. 26).

- The Mountain Lions got their run in the second. Shelby Duncan led off with a single and moved to third on Rizzuto's double to left. Duncan scored to give YHC a 1-0 lead on Amber Divine's ground out.
- Young (1-2) went the distance - 10.1 innings - for the Mountain Lions in the circle allowing just seven hits and striking out eight.
- YHC had six hits. Bourrie had a double, while Carey and Trinity Aycock each had a single.
