DAHLONEGA, Ga. | The University of North Georgia baseball team shut out Young Harris College 2-0 in a Peach Belt Conference game Saturday (Feb. 25) afternoon at Bob Stein Stadium at Lynn Cottrell Park.
The Nighthawks improved to 5-5 overall and to 1-4 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 10-4 and 4-1. The Blood Mountain rivals play the rubber match of their series at 1 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 26).
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- The Mountain Lions had three hits. Jarrett Ford had a double while Jeremy Begora and James Basham each reached on a single.
- Zach Murray (0-2) absorbed the loss, allowing just one earned run and scattered seven hits in 6.2 innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.
