YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's lacrosse team fell to Lander University 20-9 in Saturday (April 9) afternoon's Peach Belt Conference match at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The Mountain Lions fell to 0-11 and 0-2 in the Peach Belt Conference, while the Bearcats improved to 9-4 and 2-0. The Mountain Lions return to action Saturday (April 16) with a 2 p.m. Central time contest in Huntsville, Alabama against the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Four of the nine YHC goals score with a man advantage.
- Nic Baker led the Mountain Lions with three goals, while Jeremy Rice and Tommy Chriszt had two goals apiece.
- Wyatt Peek and Gunnar Fagerstrom each scored one goal for YHC.
- Chriszt led the team in assists with four, while Peek, Fagerstrom, and Baker had one apiece.
- Jacob Haas led YHC with eight ground balls. Malcolm Henke, Chriszt, Caleb Camus, and Cade Vice each recorded two, while Peek, Ben Soenen, Fagerstrom, Kieran Isbister, Jacob Miller, and Dylan Wilbur each had one.
- Henke and Soenen recorded two caused turnovers each.
- Colin Korry recorded the loss for YHC in goal. Korry played just over 11 minutes and recorded two saves.
- Wilbur played for nearly 49 minutes in goal and recorded 18 saves.
