YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | No. 1-ranked Columbus State University claimed a 7-0 Peach Belt Conference men's tennis victory over Young Harris College Friday (April 15) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Cougars improved to 15-1 overall and 4-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 5-11 and 0-5. YHC closes out its regular season schedule April 23 with an 11 a.m. PBC home match against Flagler College.
INSIDE THE SCORESHEET:
- The Mountain Lions recognized their two seniors - Romeo Luque and Ruben Gonzalez - prior to the match.
- Luque and Gonzalez teamed up at No. 3 doubles, but fell 6-2.
- Luque dropped a close 6-4, 6-4 decision at No. 4 singles.
