YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College softball team fell to the University of South Carolina-Aiken 6-2 in Saturday (March 19) afternoon's Peach Belt Conference contest at the YHC Softball Field.
The Mountain Lions fell to 10-11 overall and 3-4 in the Peach Belt, while the Pacers improved to 17-9 and 4-2. Young Harris and USC Aiken finish the three-game PBC series Sunday (March 20) with a 1 p.m. doubleheader.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Morgan Curley and Ashley Autuori both hit a solo home run in the contest to give YHC its two runs of the game.
- Curley hit a solo home run to right -her first of the season- to give the Mountain Lions its first run in the sixth and Autuori added a home run -her third of the season- to center field in the seventh.
- Jill Dixon (5-5) recorded the loss for Young Harris. Dixon pitched 3.2 innings allowing four hits and struck out two.
- Trellis Whaley, Shea Bayreuther, and Erin Chambliss had one hit each.
