YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College softball team defeated Bluefield State College 13-0 iin five innings n Saturday (Feb. 26) afternoon's game at the YHC Softball Field.
Young Harris improved to 6-5, while Bluefield State fell to 0-3. The Mountain Lions return to action Wednesday (March. 2) at the YHC Softball Field with a 2 p.m. double header against Lee University.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Hannah Miller connected on a three-run home run to center field to highlight a 10-run first inning for the Mountain Lions against the Big Blue..
- Kylie Ferguson led the team with three hits, while Grace Young and Kenzie Chappell each tailed two hits. Ashley Autuori and Ferguson both recorded a double in the big first inning inning.
- Sam Davis (2-1) got the win for the Mountain Lions. Davis pitched a one-hitter, striking out 10 of 16 batters faced.
