YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's basketball team fell to the University of South Carolina-Aiken 89-76 Saturday (Feb. 19) afternoon at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.
USC Aiken improved to 17-9 overall and 11-5 in the Peach Belt, while Young Harris fell to 6-20 and 3-14. The Mountain Lions return to action Wednesday (Feb. 23) with a 5:30 p.m. PBC tipoff against Lander University at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Prior to the contest, Young Harris recognized its three seniors - Seth McCoy, Lenny Pradia, and Caleb Towns.
- Karl Chavis led with 23 points. Carl Cleveland recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, and dished out four assists.
- Lenny Pradia added 10 points.
- The Mountain Lions and Pacers battled as score was tied seven times and the lead changed eight other times.
- Young Harris led by one point (41-40) at the half, but a layup with 15:07 left by Dixon Demetrious started a rally and the Pacers held the lead the remainder of the game.
- The Mountain Lions were 12-for-15 at the free throw line.
