Assistant Director of Athletics for Sports Communications
YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College interim head softball coach
Jessie Homesley has added
Caroline Hardy as an assistant coach.
Hardy comes to the Enchanted Valley after serving as a volunteer coach last season at Georgia Tech for former YHC softball coach Aileen Morales.
"I am beyond excited to add Caroline to the staff," said Homesley. "Caroline has experience playing and coaching at some of the highest levels our sport has to offer. She is a relationship builder who understands what championship culture is. I have no doubt she will help elevate our program moving forward."
Hardy graduated from the University of Alabama in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in history and minor in sports management. She was a member of the Crimson Tide's 2019 squad that competed in the Women's College World Series. Her game-winning RBI in extra innings against top-seeded University of Oklahoma kept Alabama in the World Series, forcing the 'if necessary' game of the semifinal. She spent three seasons on the SEC academic honor roll (2016-18).
Hardy served as an assistant coach for the Fury Platinum 14U travel ball team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the summer of 2016, helping the team to a fifth-place finish at ASA Nationals.
