PEMBROKE, N.C. | The Young Harris College women's volleyball team fell to the University of North Carolina Pembroke in straight sets in a Conference Carolinas women's volleyball matchup Saturday (Sept. 12) afternoon at Lumbee Guaranty Bank Court.
The Braves took the match 25-20, 25-22, 25-19. The loss moved the Mountain Lions to 6-3 overall and 0-2 in Conference Carolinas play.
Mary Margaret Wilson led the Young Harris attack with 10 kills while hitting .250 and added 10 digs for a double-double. Kathryn Urbanek followed with seven kills and four block assists, while Amya Dryden added five kills.
Lyza Thigpen paced the Mountain Lions defensively with a team-high 16 digs while also recording 13 assists. Young Harris finished the match with 38 kills, 55 digs and six total blocks.
