YOUNG HARRIS, GA| Young Harris College has announced the hiring of Trayce Ruffin as assistant volleyball coach. Ruffin brings an experienced background and is motivated to create rewarding experiences for student athletes on and off the court as a new member of the Mountain Lion Volleyball program.
Ruffin, a native of Greenville, NC, comes to Young Harris after being an assistant coach at Earlham College. In his one season at Earlham, Ruffin helped lead the team to a 21-9 record, a regular season championship as well as multiple all-conference selections.
Ruffin says, "I am excited and grateful to join a program entering a new era. Young Harris is a unique place, and I look forward to building relationships with the staff, community, and student athletes. My goal is to create the most rewarding experience possible for our student athletes both on and off the court."
Young Harris Volleyball head coach Ginny Howard says, "We are excited to welcome Trayce Ruffin to our program as our assistant volleyball coach. I have known Trayce for a long time, and I know he will bring tremendous energy, passion, and knowledge to our team every day. His strong volleyball background and ability to connect with people will allow him to make an immediate impact on our program and the culture we are building at Young Harris College."
Trayce will begin his role as assistant coach at Young Harris this season.
