Young Harris Men’s Basketball Set for NCAA Southeast Regional Opener at Anderson

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Fresh off capturing the program's first Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship, the Young Harris College men's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Southeast Regional.

The Mountain Lions (22-8, 16-4 Conference Carolinas) earned the No. 8 seed in the regional and will travel to Anderson, South Carolina to face top-seeded Anderson University in the opening round on Saturday, March 14 at 5 PM. The Trojans enter the tournament with a 29-2 overall record and a 20-2 mark in South Atlantic Conference play after winning both the SAC regular season and tournament championships. Anderson is also ranked No. 7 in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches poll.

The first-round matchup will be played at Anderson University, which is serving as the host site for the Southeast Regional. The winner will advance to Sunday's second round to face the winner of No. 4 seed Lenoir-Rhyne (24-8) and No. 5 seed North Georgia (22-7).

On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 2 seed and No. 25-ranked Lander (25-5) will face No. 7 seed Lincoln Memorial (19-11), while No. 3 seed Catawba (23-8) will take on No. 6 seed Columbus State (22-8).

The Southeast Regional Championship game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
