YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions ended their home campaign on Monday afternoon (Feb. 23) and were able to claim the win, 71-40. Player of The Game honors go to Katia Nekic as she had 21 points on 7-for-12 shooting from deep. 

With the win, Young Harris rises to 14-5 in conference play and 20–7 overall, while Mount Olive falls to 4-15 in conference play and 7-18 overall.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Young Harris shot 46.7 percent (28-for-60) from the field, 37.9 percent (11-for-29) from three, and 66.7 percent (4-for-6) at the line. 

• Young Harris was able to take control of the game in the third quarter by shooting 5-for-7 from deep.    

• Young Harris was able to outrebound Mount Olive 40-26.  

• This is the biggest margin of victory (31) over Mount Olive in the history of the matchup. 

• With the win, YHC finished their home campaign with an impressive 12-3 record, and a 9-2 record in CC games.   

• Mount Olive was led by Savannah McAfee, who scored 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.   

• With the win, YHC pushes past the 20-win column, the third time this has been achieved in the D2 era.
