YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris battled throughout Monday evening but came up just short in an 84-80 Conference Carolinas loss to Mount Olive inside The Harp Recreation & Commencement Center.
The game featured eight ties and six lead changes, with the Mountain Lions responding repeatedly after Mount Olive runs. Young Harris shot an efficient 52.6 percent from the field and scored 40 points in the paint, but Mount Olive's free throw efficiency and 45 bench points proved decisive down the stretch.

• Justin Payne finished with 20 points and a team-high 6 assists, contributing across the board despite heavy defensive pressure.
