YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College Mountain Lions kept the bats active and the gloves steady Saturday afternoon at the Enchanted Valley, but a few timely swings from Lenoir-Rhyne proved to be the difference. Despite solid contact and strong relief work in the circle, Young Harris came up just short in both contests.
Game One: (Lenoir-Rhyne 3, Young Harris 0)
Lenoir-Rhyne manufactured a run in the first inning before adding two more in the fifth on an RBI double and a sacrifice fly.
The Mountain Lions continued to apply pressure throughout the afternoon, lining six hits across seven innings. Haley Cummings and Shayla Pennington each went 2-for-3, consistently finding barrels and creating traffic on the basepaths. Gracie Hughes and Maddy Brady added base hits as Young Harris searched for the timely breakthrough.
Inside the circle, Lilly Jones (2-2) battled through 4.1 innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits. Julia Moore closed the door in relief, spinning 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts to keep the deficit manageable.

Game Two: (Lenoir-Rhyne 4, Young Harris 0)
The nightcap saw Young Harris out-hit Lenoir-Rhyne 7-5, but the Mountain Lions were unable to string together the big inning.
After three scoreless frames, Lenoir-Rhyne pushed a run across in the fourth and another in the fifth before a two-RBI double in the seventh created late separation.
Bailee Brown, Shelby Duncan, and Maddy Brady each went 2-for-3, spraying singles and keeping innings alive. Mallory Clark added a base hit as Young Harris tallied seven hits in the contest.
Isabella Pecorilli (1-1) worked 4.1 innings, allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts. Julia Moore followed with 2.2 innings of relief, striking out two more.
