CENTRAL, S.C. | The Mountain Lions took a day trip to Southern Wesleyan for a Conference Carolinas matchup on Thursday evening (Jan. 29) and delivered an all-around dominant performance and won, 88-50. Player of The Game honors go to Natalie Jojola as she had 22 points on 6-for-7 shooting from deep and 8 rebounds.  

With the win, Young Harris rises to 8-3 in conference play and 14–5 overall, while Southern Wesleyan falls to 3-9 in conference play and 5-15 overall.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Young Harris showed their defensive presence early by holding SWU to just three first quarter points.

• Young Harris shot 52.2 percent (35-for-67) from the field, 44.4 percent (12-for-27) from three, and 60 percent (6-for-10) at the line. 

• Young Harris was able to take control of the game by outrebounding SWU 54-18.   

• Southern Wesleyan was led by Savanna Nicholson, who scored 16 points.  

• With the win, Young Harris is 8-1 in their last nine games. Staying as one of the hottest teams in the conference.
