Mountain Lions Golf Releases 2026 Men’s and Women’s Schedules

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College men's and women's golf have announced their 2026 spring schedules, featuring a slate of multi-day tournaments across the Southeast and culminating with the Conference Carolinas Championships for both programs. 

Both squads will face competitive fields throughout the spring, with tournament play set to prepare the Mountain Lions for postseason competition. Director of Golf John Lichtenwalner returns for his third season leading the Mountain Lions golf program.

INSIDE THE SCHEDULE:

Men's Golf 

The men's golf team opens its spring season at the Oldfield Classic, hosted by the University of South Carolina Beaufort on Feb. 23–24 at the Oldfield Club in Okatie, S.C. 

Young Harris continues its schedule March 9–10 at the Bearcat Classic, hosted by Lander University at Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, S.C. The Mountain Lions then compete at the Ralph Hargett Memorial on March 16–17, hosted by Wingate University at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, N.C. 

Late March brings the Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University on March 30–31 at Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn. 

The men's regular season concludes at the Conference Carolinas Championship, scheduled for April 19–21. 

Women's Golf 

The women's golf team begins spring play at the LR/Dunes West Women's Collegiate, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University on Feb. 23–24 at Dunes West Golf and River Club in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 

Young Harris returns to action March 16–17 at the Agnes McAmis Memorial, hosted by Tusculum University at The Crossings Golf Club in Jonesborough, Tenn. The Mountain Lions then compete at the Lady Bearcat Invitational on March 23–24, hosted by Lander University at Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, S.C. 

The women's regular season wraps up at the Grand Harbor Classic on March 30–31, hosted by Anderson University at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbour in Ninety Six, S.C. 

Postseason play begins for the Mountain Lions at the Conference Carolinas Championship, scheduled for April 12–14 at The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.

Men's Golf 

  • Samuel Ankelstam, Fr., Stockholm, Sweden: two-time Conference Carolinas Fall Freshman of the Month (2025) 

  • Adrian Ronn, So., Bro, Sweden: Conference Carolinas All-Conference selection, 2025 Freshman of the Month 

POSTSEASON:

Men's and women's golf will conclude the spring with their respective Conference Carolinas Championships a week apart from each other.
