Banner Elk, N.C. | The YH Volleyball team took on the Bobcats of Lees-McRae on Friday (Sept. 26) evening on the road in Conference Carolinas play. The Mountain Lions put up 20+ points in each set, ultimately falling 3-0 overall (21-25, 21-25, 20-25).  

Young Harris moved to 4-8 overall this season (1-3 in conference), while the Bobcats improved to 3-8 (3-1 in conference).  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• The Bobcats racked up 59 points compared to the Mountain Lions' 33. 

• Young Harris was able to record five blocks to match LMC. 

• Abby Schirm led the charge with 14 kills and 15 digs in the match. 

• Lexie Martin picked up two service aces. 

• Lauren DeSilets and Kathryn Urbanek led the team with four blocks each. 

• Sydney Stigler racked up 18 assists for Lees-McRae, while Lauren Newcomer led the Bobcats with 24 digs. 

• For YH, Lyza Thigpen picked up 11 assists, while Izadora Rosin recorded 36 for LMC.
