Franklin Springs, Ga. | The Lady Mountain Lions came away with a dominant 6-1 conference victory over the Emmanuel Lions in Franklin Springs today (Apr 8
th). This was a much-needed win for YH after a heartbreaking stretch losing four consecutive matches by a score of 4-3. Young Harris impressively took care of all six singles matches today. Â

The Mountain Lions move to 6-14 overall and are 4-4 in Conference Carolinas. The Lions fall to 2-13 overall and are 0-6 in Conference Carolinas. Â

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:Â
·     In doubles play, Emmanuel earned the point, taking the two matches that took place with scores of 6-4 and 6-1. Â
·     Young Harris dominated the singles portion of the match. They won all five matches that took place and won the sixth by default. Â
·     Viviana Gomez (Line Three) and
Callie Stanfield (Line Five) began the flawless singles run. Gomez won her first set 6-4 and followed that up by completely controlling the second set, winning by a score of 6-1. Stanfield breezed through her match. She won her two sets by a combined score of 12-1 to set the tone for the rest of the match.Â
·     The other three singles matches that took place were highlighted by wins from
Simone Mercier (Line One),
Maud Scholten (Line Two), and
Futaba Saito (Line Four).Â
