FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA | Four straight Mountain Lion goals in the final 10 minutes just wasn't enough to outscore Emmanuel University in this afternoon's match up; Young Harris fell just short with a final score of 16-14 (Mar 29^th). Hunter Stagg finished the day with a hat trick and two assists, while coming up clutch in the fourth quarter push. 
 
The Mountain Lions move to 4-7 overall and are 2-3 in Conference Carolinas play. The EC Lions move to 8-4 overall and are 3-2 in Conference Carolinas.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• The goal scoring efforts were back-and-forth throughout the entire first half. Griffin Gibson-Thomas of Emmanuel struck first within three minutes of play. 
• John McElhenny and Hunter Stagg found the back of the net in the first quarter for YH, who trailed 3-2.
• The second fifteen consisted of three goals apiece from each squad. The triple threat of Tommy Chriszt, David Traywick, and Lukus Olson were the contributors from Young Harris. 
• Heading into the half, the Mountain Lions were behind 6-5. 
• Back-and-forth goals for the entire third quarter created some excitement in Franklin Springs. Grady Stokes, Anderson Kesinger, David Traywick, and Kieran Isbister took control of the ball and snuck it between the pipes of the Lions. 
• The fourth quarter was pivotal, and the final push for both sides. Within the first two minutes, Joshua Fodchuk (EC) and Colburn Connelly (YH), each scored. 
• The next three goals were impressively all scored by Jared Weiss. The Lions led 15-10 with under ten minutes to go. 
• Hunter Stagg and Colburn Connelly responded well; Stagg put two in, and Connelly found the back of the net once. 
• Grady Stokes (4), Hunter Stagg (2), Lukus Olson (1), and Tommy Chriszt (1) were the facilitators in today's game each with assists. 
• The statistics of this game couldn't be closer. EC out shot YH 41-36, each squad had 11 saves, Young Harris turned the ball over 26 times to Emmanuel's 22, and the Mountain Lions won the ground ball battle 32-24.
