NEWBERRY, S.C. – The Mountain Lions fell short in their matchup against Newberry College, dropping a 17-5 decision on the road Saturday (March 1). Facing a strong opponent, Young Harris looks to regroup at home next weekend. 

The Mountain Lions move to 2-4, while the Wolves improve to 3-2 on the 2025 season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Wolves struck early, building a quick lead in the opening quarter. 

• Colburn Connelly led the Mountain Lions' attack, registering a hat trick on four shots on goal. 

• David Traywick contributed a two-point performance with a goal and an assist. 

• Ben Soenen and Traywick each found the back of the net to round out the Young Harris scoring. 

• Hunter Stagg added an assist for the Mountain Lions.
