Mountain Lions Fall Late in Physical Battle 65-62

The Mountain Lions, who set the tone right away with their defense propelling a 10-0 run to begin the second half, ultimately fell to the Hawks’ late shot making 65-62.

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. The Mountain Lions, who set the tone right away with their defense propelling a 10-0 run to begin the second half, ultimately fell to the Hawks' late shot making 65-62 (Feb 24th). When it looked like it may have been over early with the Hawks taking a commanding 28-11 lead, YH stormed back to cut it to five at half and took an early second half lead; but in the end, it was not enough. Young Harris played the game they wanted to, holding the high-powered Chowan Hawks offense to 65 points, which was 22 points below their season average. However, it was the Hawks who made more plays down the stretch to capture the victory.

The Mountain Lions move to 19-8 overall and are 14-5 in Conference Carolinas. The Hawks move to 17-8 overall and are 14-5 in Conference Carolinas.
