YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions women's tennis team battled the Bearcats at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex but fell to Lander University 4-3. 

Young Harris now sits at 2-4 overall in the early stages of the season. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• The Bearcats secured the doubles point, winning two of the three matches. 

• The duo of Simone Mercier & Futaba Saito earned the lone doubles victory for Young Harris. 

• Maud Scholten (6-3 & 6-4) secured a singles win for the Mountain Lions. 

• Futaba Saito won both her doubles and singles matches, claiming a singles victory (6-3 & 6-4). 

• Callie Stanfield picked up a singles win (6-5 & WD), while Lander claimed the remaining matches to secure the overall victory.
