This week, Young Harris Baseball's
Kade Smallwood was named Conference Carolina's Player of the Week!
The sophomore first baseman has been raking to start the 2025 season.
Smallwood had a big week for the Mountain Lions, hitting .529, going 9-for-17 in four Young Harris contests. He laced three home runs and drove in 10 runs while scoring five times. The Flowery Branch native posted three multi-hit and three multi-RBI games, including two games with three hits. He started with three hits and four runs batted in against Lenoir-Rhyne before posting two hits and driving in two the next day against the Bears. He closed the week with three hits and three RBIs to help the Mountain Lions top Columbus State. For the week he posted a 1.059 slugging percentage and .600 on base percentage.
Kade Smallwood and the rest of the Mountain Lions return to action this Saturday, where they will take on Conference Carolinas opponent Chowan in a three-game series.
