YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Mountain Lions returned to The Harp for a home Conference Carolinas matchup on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 6) and delivered a strong defensive performance against Belmont Abbey, However, Young Harris could not get anything going offensively and lost, 28-44.  

With the loss, Young Harris falls 2-2 in conference play and to 5–3 overall, while Belmont Abbey improves to 2-0 in conference play and 6–1 overall.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Foward Annalise Malone led the attack for the Mountain Lions with 9 points and 9 rebounds.  

• Young Harris shot 19.6 percent (10-for-51) from the field, 14.3 percent (4-for-28) from three, and 66.7 percent (4-for-6) at the line. 

• Young Harris was able to force 22 turnovers and score 11 points off turnovers.  

• Belmont Abbey was paced by Riley James, who finished with 11 points and 6 rebounds.
