FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. | The Mountain Lions hit the road over Thanksgiving break (Nov. 25) for a rivalry matchup against the Lions of Emmanuel University, returning home with Roar Wars points and a thrilling 57–52 victory. Player of the Game honors go to Natalie Jojola, who delivered an impressive performance with 14 points and five rebounds.
Emmanuel's standout, Naomi Roberts, kept her team in the game with a staggering 21 points and was the only Lion to reach the free-throw line, finishing 6-for-8.
With the win, Young Harris and Emmanuel now sit tied with identical overall records (3–2) and Conference Carolinas marks (1–1).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kamryn Bates led Young Harris with 14 points on 5-of-15 shooting while adding three assists and six rebounds.
- Natalie Jojola matched her with 14 points, shooting an efficient 5-of-12 from the field and 4-of-7 from three.
- Annalise Malone contributed 13 points, six rebounds, and a team-high four assists in 37 minutes.
- Rhiannon Saller filled the stat sheet with three points, eight rebounds, two assists, and a block.
- Lilly Griffith added two points and four steals.
- Off the bench, Joy Tchamabe provided six points and three rebounds, while Chassidy Fedd chipped in four points and three boards.
- Young Harris shot 41.18 percent in the first quarter and hit three three-pointers in the third to withstand Emmanuel's run.
- Emmanuel was led by Naomi Roberts with 21 points, while Natalee Goff added 16.
