Tusculum, Tenn. | Young Harris College Women's Basketball earned a convincing 72-48 victory over Tusculum University Wednesday evening at Pioneer Arena. The Mountain Lions improved to 2-1 on the season behind a dominant second-half performance. 

Young Harris trailed 31-28 at halftime but exploded in the third quarter, outscoring the Pioneers 25-6 to seize control of the game. The Mountain Lions added 19 points in the final frame to secure the win. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Kamryn Bates paced Young Harris with 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting while adding four assists. 

• Annalise Malone recorded a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. 

• Rhiannon Saller finished with eight points and 12 rebounds. 

• Joy Tchamabe provided a spark off the bench with nine points and seven boards. 

• The Mountain Lions dominated the paint, scoring 46 points inside and pulling down 59 rebounds. 

• Young Harris shot 46% from the field and held Tusculum to just 29.2%. 

• The Mountain Lions converted 15 points off turnovers and added 24 bench points. 

• The Pioneers were led by Dora Van Rijs, who scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
