YOUNG HARRIS, GA| Young Harris Men's Golf freshman Samuel Ankelstam has earned Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month following a strong September. Ankelstam opened the month competing in the King University Invitational where he used a strong two-day performance to finish tied for third. At the tournament, Samuel fired two three-under rounds of 67 to finish just one stroke behind the winner with a total score of six-under 134. Ankelstam followed up this performance with a three-round tournament total of 224, using rounds of 73-78-73 at the Jay Jennison Cup. Samuel will hope to carry this success into October at the two-day Currahee Collegiate on October 6th and October 7th at the Currahee Club in Toccoa, Ga.
