GREENWOOD, S.C. | The Young Harris College men's golf team placed sixth overall at the Greenwood Invitational, finishing with a three-round total of 862 (+16). Grand Valley State led the way, with a three-round total of 844 (-11).
The Mountain Lions opened the tournament with a 286 in round one, followed by a 287 in round two and a 289 in the final round to close the event.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Samuel Ankelstam led the way for Young Harris with an outstanding performance, finishing third overall with a three-round total of 207 (-9). Ankelstam carded rounds of 70 (-2), 69 (-3), and 68 (-4) to secure the top finish for the Mountain Lions.
- Adrian Ronn also delivered a strong showing, tying for seventeenth place with a total of 214 (-2). Ronn opened with a 69 (-3) before posting rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E).
- Joel Sergel and Todd Marovich both tied for fifty-second place with identical totals of 221 (+5). Sergel recorded rounds of 74 (+2), 74 (+2), and 73 (+1), while Marovich posted scores of 73 (+1), 71 (-1), and 77 (+5).
- Nicholas Germanos rounded out the Young Harris lineup, finishing ninety-eighth overall with a three-round total of 233.
