FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. | Young Harris Volleyball fell in four sets to Emmanuel University in the annual Roar War rivalry match Saturday afternoon at the Shaw Athletic Center. 

After dropping the opening set 25-17, the Mountain Lions bounced back in the second with a hard-fought 26-24 win. Despite the momentum shift, Emmanuel responded with strong performances in the third and fourth sets to take the match 3-1. 

Young Harris moves to 7-14 overall and 4-9 in Conference Carolinas, while Emmanuel improves to 12-6 overall and 10-2 in league play. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Young Harris hit .233 in the second set, their best of the match. 

• Abby Schirm led the Mountain Lions with 15 kills, 20 digs, and 1 ace, totaling 16.0 points. 

• Hannah Depp added 13 kills, 2 assists, and 4 digs. 

• Lauren DeSilets contributed 5 kills, 2 blocks, and 5 digs. 

• Lyza Thigpen dished out 18 assists and added 5 digs. 

• Linsey Burke recorded 15 assists, 1 ace, and 5 digs. 

• Lexie Martin anchored the back row with a match-high 28 digs. 

• Young Harris totaled 44 kills, 38 assists, 4 aces, and 4 blocks. 

• Emmanuel was led by Ellie Jackson with 15 kills and 14 digs, while Marusa Pesut tallied 41 assists, 2 aces, and 18 digs.
