YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris Volleyball pushed Converse University to four sets Saturday afternoon but came up short in a 3-1 decision at The Harp Recreation & Commencement Center.
After dropping the first two sets, the Mountain Lions responded with a dominant third-set performance, hitting .435 as a team and taking the frame 25-21. Abby Schirm led the charge with a match-high 17 kills and added 10 digs for a double-double. Hannah Depp also reached double digits with 10 kills and 10 digs.
Young Harris totaled 42 kills and 39 assists, with Lyza Thigpen dishing out 24 helpers and adding a service ace. Kathryn Urbanek anchored the defense at the net with five blocks, while Lexie Martin contributed nine digs in the back row.
