YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Defending regular season Southwest Division Champions, Young Harris men's soccer announced their 2024 schedule today. The Mountain Lions slate includes 19 matches, featuring eight home matches at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The Mountain Lions kick off the regular season on the road against Limestone on Thursday, September 5
th at 3:00 p.m. Young Harris then returns to the Enchanted Valley for its home opener on Sunday, September 8
th at 5:00 p.m. against Carson Newman University.
The rest of September includes two home and three away matches. Young Harris travels to Bristol, Tennessee on Saturday, September 14
th for their Conference Carolinas opener with King University at 3:30 p.m.
Young Harris hosts Emmanuel University for a match under the lights on Saturday, September 21
st at 7:00 p.m. On Tuesday September 24th at 3:30, the Purple and White will travel for their final away match of the month, facing Erskine College. The Mountain Lions wrap up September with a home match on Saturday September 28
th at 4:30 p.m. against Barton College.
October is a great month to be a Mountain Lion fan as Young Harris hosts its final five home matches of the season, starting with a bout versus Shorter University on Wednesday, October 2
nd at 6:30 p.m. Next, YHC travels to face Mount Olive for an afternoon match on Saturday, before heading back to the Enchanted Valley for a three-game home stand.
The Mountain Lions three game home stand starts with Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday October 8
th at 7:30 p.m. Then, Young Harris welcomes Clayton State University to campus for a Tuesday afternoon match on the 15
th at 4:00 p.m. The Purple and White take on conference foes Erskine College on Saturday, the 19
th at 6:30 p.m.
The Mountain Lions face North Greenville University in their last home match of the season on Saturday, October 26
th at 3:30 p.m.
Young Harris tackles two road matches to close out the regular season. First, they face Southern Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 29
th at 7:30 p.m. and then wrap up the regular season at Shorter University on Saturday, November 2
nd at 6:30 p.m.
The Conference Carolinas Tournament begins on Thursday, November 7
th and lasts until Sunday, November 17
th.
After a slow start to the 2023 season, the Mountain Lions rattled off five straight wins in September and finished the season with a 9-3-6 overall record and went 8-0-4 in conference play. Young Harris played to a 7-0-1 Southwest Division Record, which earned them the division title.
