CENTRAL, SC. The Mountain Lions just miss another conference sweep after winning game one 11-5 but falling short in extras in game two (Apr 18
th).
Hannah Carey had a big day at the plate, hitting .500 on the day with five RBIs.

The Mountain Lions move to 28-20 overall and are 15-7 in Conference Carolinas. The Warriors move to 18-26 overall and are 8-14 in Conference Carolinas. YHC will hit the road this weekend to take on North Greenville in a double-header on Saturday (Apr 20
th). These games will conclude the regular season for YHC Softball as they will await post season seeding!

Game 1:
- The final score was 11-5 in favor of the Mountain Lions.
- Hannah Carey got things going with a bang in the first; she homered to left, to bring in three for YHC.
- SWU began to crawl back, adding two in their time at the plate. Amberly Way was HBP with the bases loaded and Talissa Cannady hit a SAC fly to left.
- In the third, Hannah Rizzuto hit a SAC fly. Hannah Carey hit a RBI double up the middle, followed by Gracie Hughes' RBI double in the fourth. These at-bats made the score 5-2 YHC.
- Riley Wilson doubled to center for two Warrior runs in the fifth inning.
- The big bats came to play in the sixth for Young Harris. Hannah Carey and Addie Heal (3-5) both went yard, Heal's bringing in two. The Mountain Lions led by six.
- Taylor Palfrey hit an RBI single through the left side for the Warriors final run of the game.
- Some notable plate appearances for YHC: Bailee Brown (3-4), Hannah Carey (4-5, 5 five RBIs), and Shelby Duncan (3-4).
- Kylie Ferguson was issued the win after five IP and four K's.
- Young Harris had 18 hits to Southern Wesleyan's seven.

Game 2:
- Southern Wesleyan won 7-6 in eight innings.
- Addie Heal (3-3) put Young Harris on the board in the first with an RBI single into right field. Two runs scored.
- The Warriors retaliated with a two-run double from Amberly Way in the first inning.
- SWU jumped ahead 4-2 after loading the bases in the fourth.
- The sixth inning was a big one for YHC. First, Addie Heal hit a two-run HR to left field. Then Avery Fielden made her way to the plate and doubled down the right field line for two more runs. The Mountain Lions tied the game at six with four runs on four hits.
- In extras, Southern Wesleyan walked it off with a SAC fly to right field.
