Bristol, TN| The Mountain Lions traveled over three hours to take on King University on Sunday (Mar. 24) afternoon. Young Harris was dominant in the match, sweeping the Tornado in doubles and taking the last five singles matches to take down the Tornado from King University by a score of 6-1. 

Young Harris returns to action on Monday (Mar. 25) afternoon in Banner Elk, North Carolina, where they take on Lees-McRae College at 1 p.m. 

INSIDE THE STAT SHEET:

• YHC won all three doubles matches, with the combinations of Meghna Mallath and Simone Mercier and Holly Ashford and Catarina Marcko Ferreira winning (6-3 and 6-2). Luciana Bejarano and Viviana Gomez won their doubles match too, as King did not send out two opponents to face the duo. 

• Luciana Bejarano (7-5, 2-6, and 10-7) and Viviana Gomez (6-0 and 6-1) each won their singles matches after Mercier battled hard in the first singles match of the day and fell just short in three sets. 

• Meghna Mallath, Holly Ashford, and Catarina Marcko Ferreira each won their singles matches for Young Harris as well. 

• Deniz Aytun picked up the only King win of the day, taking down Mercier in three tough sets.
