Mount Olive, NC| The Mountain Lions traveled over six hours away to take on The University of Mount Olive on Saturday (Mar. 23) afternoon. In the first period, YHC kept it close with the Trojans, going into period number two tied at two goals. The Trojans jumped ahead and never turned back from the start of the second period to the end of the game; UMO outscored YHC 8-1 in the second period, and 8-1 throughout the entirety of the second half to claim the 18-4 victory over Young Harris.
Young Harris moves to 3-6 overall and 0-2 in Conference Carolinas matchups. UMO improves to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in conference games. The Mountain Lions return to play on Saturday (Mar. 30) when they take on Barton College at 2 p.m. in Wilson, North Carolina.
