HARTSVILLE, S.C. | Coker University picked up a 14-10 victory over Young Harris Saturday (Mar. 2nd) afternoon at Coker Field.
YHC moves to 2-4 and the Cobras improve to 3-4. The Mountain Lions return to action at home Friday, March 8
th in a 3 p.m. contest against The University of Montevallo.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Colburn Connelly (4) led YHC in goals. Hunter Stagg added two, while Jacob Haas, Grady Stokes, David Traywick, and Dylan Young recorded one each.
- Young Harris scored all seven goals of the first half in the 2nd, giving YHC a 7-4 lead at halftime.
- Stagg's second goal in the 4th brought the score within one (10-11) but the Cobra's added three unanswered goals in the final eight minutes to capture the win.
- Haas grabbed 10 ground balls and Ben Soenen picked up four.
- Young (2) and Soenen (3) combined for five caused turnovers.
- Dylan Wilbur totaled seven saves while Thomas Castiglia had five.
- YHC held a 17-12 edge in faceoffs won.
