Young Harris, GA| It was a great showing by the Mountain Lions men's lacrossse team on Tuesday (Mar. 12) evening in Young Harris. In the first half, the Mountain Lions held on, matching the Hawks in goals scored to move to halftime knotted up at seven goals each. YHC outscored Shorter by one in the third period, and ran away with the game in the fourth, to take a 13-9 victory over the Hawks.
The Mountain Lions advanced to 3-4 overall this season, while Shorter dropped to 7-3. YHC returns to action on Saturday (Mar. 16) afternoon at 1 p.m. in Young Harris against Belmont Abbey College

Hunter Stagg and Colburn Connelly led the way offensively for YHC, each scoring three goals, with Connelly adding an assist to boot.

Grady Stokes scored two goals and added three assists for a game leading five points.

Jacob Haas recorded 12 ground ball pickups for the Mountain Lions, which led both teams in the category.

Dylan Wilbur recorded 10 saves and gave up nine goals on 19 SOG, while Chase Finley over Shorter University recorded 17 saves and gave up 13 goals on 30 SOG.

The Hawks leading scorer was Jaden Sealey, who netted four goals on seven shots.
