ROME, GA| After dropping the first game of the series, the Mountain Lions came out swinging in games 2 and 3. Young Harris won 16-2 and 5-4 in the double-header (Feb 3rd).   

The Mountain Lions advance to 2-1 while the Hawks fall to 1-2 after the opening series. YHC has the home opener against Anderson University on Wednesday (Feb 7th) in a double-header. First pitch begins at 1:00 p.m. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

Game 1: 

• Young Harris scored 16 runs; Hannah Carey, Gracie Hughes, and Addie Heal all had 3 RBIs each.  

• Hannah Rizzuto and Shelby Duncan were both 2-4 at the plate. 

• Jordan Morris picked up the win after 5.1 IP. 

• Shorter's Rylee Gattis homered in the 6th to give the Hawks their 2 runs.  

• YHC won 16-2. 

Game 2:  

• Addie Heal got things started for the Mountain Lion offense, with an RBI double in the 2nd inning. Grace Young added one in the 3rd with a 2-run HR. 

• Bailee Brown and Gracie Hughes both went 2-4 at the plate. 

• Kaylee George went 2-3 with 2 RBIs. She had tied up the game in the 5th inning with an RBI double. 

• Gracie Hughes was awarded the win for Young Harris after 3.2 IP. 

• YHC won 5-4.
