CHATTANOOGA, TN | The Young Harris College women's cross country team continued to improve at the Nooga at Night invite on Saturday (Oct. 12) night. The YHC competitors took advantage of the fast course and great environment. The women competed in the college 5k with nine other programs, placing in seventh of 10 teams (168 points). The Mountain Lions rested their top six women runners. Five Mountain Lions recorded career best 5k times. Sophomore runner Emily Baars posted the best performance for Young Harris, coming in 29th place overall, with a 5k time of 20:51.4.

"Emily has battled all year and I think she bounced back well. We will need her as we head into conference. I think the ladies were surprised with how well they ran, but they earned this performance. We took advantage of a great environment and executed well."
