YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Hayden Moffat scored six goals as North Greenville University defeated Young Harris College 19-10 in a non-conference men's lacrosse match Saturday (Feb. 4) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The Crusaders improved to 1-0, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-1. YHC hits the road Wednesday (Feb. 8) when they travel to Newberry, South Carolina, for a 7 p.m. match against Newberry College.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- North Greenville took control of the match in the middle quarters, outscoring the Mountain Lions 15-4 in the second and third quarters.
- Wyatt Peek scored three goals for YHC, while Tommy Chriszt and Colburn Connelly each found the back of the net twice.
- Hunter Stagg, Gunnar Fagerstrom and David Traywick each scored a goal for the Mountain Lions.
- Peek, Stagg and Jacob Haas each registered an assist.
- Haas won 16 of the 31 face-offs in the game. He also tallied eight ground balls for YHC.
- Ben Soenen tallied three ground balls and caused three turnovers, while Kieran Isbister had three ground balls and also caused two turnovers.
- Dylan Wilbur registered 18 saves between the pipes for the Mountain Lions.Â
