WILSON, N.C. | Mason Chaney scored seven goals to lead Barton College past Young Harris College 21-12 in a men's lacrosse match at Truist Stadium Saturday (Feb. 11) afternoon.
The Bulldogs leveled their record at 1-1, while the Mountain Lions remained winless in three tries. YHC returns to action next Saturday (Feb. 18) at 1 p.m. as they face Anderson (S.C.) University in Anderson, South Carolina.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Gunnar Fagerstrom led the Mountain Lions with four goals, while Tim Blanch, David Traywick and Colburn Connelly had two goals apiece. Tommy Chriszt and Christian White each found the back of the net once.
- Hunter Stagg and Blanch tallied two assists, while Ben Soenen, David Traywick, Chriszt and Dylan Young had one apiece.
- Young Harris recorded 42 ground balls. Young corralled six, while Soenen and Kieran Isbister had five each. Traywick, Jacob Miller, Blanch and Dane Dompier each scooped up three.
- Jacob Haas won seven face-offs, while Isbister had three.
- Soenen recorded four caused turnovers, while Isbister had two.
- Dylan Wilbur posted 10 saves between the pipes in goal for Young Harris.
