GAINESVILLE, Ga. | The Young Harris College men's golf team wrapped up their first tournament of the 2022-23 season as they finished in 16th place at the Mizuno Intercollegiate hosted by the University of North Georgia Tuesday (Sept. 20) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions shot 307 in the final round on the par 72, 7,166-yard layout on the Chattahoochee Golf Club to complete the 54-hole tournament at 898. Anderson (S.C.) University won the tournament with a score of 846, two strokes ahead of the University of West Florida.
INSIDE THE ROPES:
- Laurens Schulze-Doering and Ruben Lindstrom each had the low round of the day for the Mountain Lions with a 74. Schulze-Doering finished in 18th place at 217, while Lindstrom finished in a tie for 90th at 231.
- Will Ranieri carded a 78 and finished in a tie for 63rd place at 225.
- Isak Ljungkvist and Parker Middleton each tied for 94th place at 232. Ljungkvist fired an 81, while Middleton tallied an 82 in the final round.
- The Mountain Lions return to the course Oct. 3 when they travel to Camden, South Carolina, to compete in the Camden Collegiate.
