YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's basketball team fell 75-50 to No. 8 Lander University Wednesday (Feb. 23) evening in a Peach Belt Conference game at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.
Lander improved to 22-4 overall and 14-3 in the Peach Belt while the Mountain Lions fell to 13-14 and 5-13. YHC had completed its regular season and will await the final games Saturday (Feb. 27) to see whether the Mountain Lions will advance to next week's PBC Tournament that begins play March 2.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Carly Winters led Young Harris with 12 points, while Niaya White recorded 10.
- Mackenzie Johnson grabbed 12 rebounds and scored nine points.
- The Bearcats had three players score in double figures with Makila Cange having a double double in the game with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
- Lander scored 28 points off YHC's 24 turnovers.
