AUGUSTA, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's basketball team fell to Augusta University 69-52 in Saturday (Jan. 8) afternoon's Peach Belt Conference contest at the Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars improve to 8-3 overall and 1-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions fell to 9-4 and 1-3. The Mountain Lions return to action Wednesday (Jan. 12) as they host Columbus State University in a 5:30 p.m. PBC contest at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center. 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Mackenzie Johnson led the Mountain Lions with 16 points and had four rebounds.
• Kalen Surles and Carly Winters recorded 12 points each. Surles grabbed seven rebounds, and Winters dished out two assists. 
• November Morton led the Jaguars with 18 points, including four three's.
• As a team the Mountain Lions shot a 39.6% (21-of-53) field goal percentage. 
• Young Harris was 6-of-11 at the free throw line and led 30-26 in points in the paint.
