YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Karl Chavis led the Mountain Lions with 24 points in a 88-78 Peach Belt Conference loss Saturday (Jan. 15) against Flagler College at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.
The Mountain Lions fell to 3-12 overall and to- 0-6 in the Peach Belt while the Saints improved to 12-3 and 5-1. Young Harris returns to action Wednesday (Jan. 19) against Georgia College in a 7:30 p.m. PBC tip at home.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Chavis led with 24 points and eight rebounds. He was 14-of-17 at the free throw line and dished out four assists.
- Carl Cleveland had 16 points and Lenny Pradia recorded 13 more.
- Kohl Roberts led the Saints with 17 points and six rebounds.
- Flagler College had their biggest lead of the game - 22 points-(68-46) - with just over 10 minutes remaining in the second half after a Chase Fiddler three.
- The Mountain Lions got as close as seven points (76-69) after Chavis connected on two free throws with 2:08 left.
- As a team, the Mountain Lions were 18-of-25 at the free throw line.
- The Saints outrebounded Young Harris 40-37.
