CLEVELAND, Tenn. | Lee University picked up a 25-18, 21-25, 25-13 and 25-21 volleyball victory Thursday (Sept. 16) afternoon at the Flames Invitational being held at the Paul Dana Walker Arena.

Lee improved to 1-4, while the Mountain Lions fell to 2-8. Young Harris wraps up play at the tournament with a 10 a.m. match Friday (Sept. 17) against Kentucky State University followed by a 2:30 p.m. contest against The University of Alabama in Huntsville.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Alex Pierre led the Mountain Lions with 10 kills and a .42 hitting percentage. Jessica Beckner and Shelby Mullins each collected eight kills, while Mullins hit at a .412 clip. Lily Hidalgo added six.
• Ginger Truncale paced YHC with 16 assists, while Annie Messler distributed 13 more. Alex Boydstone registered seven assists.
• Joha Bernis paved the way for the Mountain Lions with 19 digs, while Hidalgo and Truncale had four apiece.
• Mullins had three assisted blocks, while Pierre added two more.
