JACKSON, Tenn. | Young Harris College, Union (Tenn.) University split a non-conference baseball doubleheader Tuesday (March 23) at Fesmire Field.
The Bulldogs won the first game 22-13 before Young Harris took the nightcap 13-7.
Young Harris improved to 11-7, while Union fell to 9-12.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
Game 1
- The Mountain Lions had 16 hits - eight that went for extra bases - and scored in the first five innings.
- Tucker Greer went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and drove in three runs.
- Dahlton Cash went 2-for-4 with two doubles and drove in three runs.
- Brett Hawkins went 1-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBI.
- Rome Wallace went 2-for-3 with a double and knocked in one run.
- Jackson Jones went 2-for-5 with an RBI, while T.J. Byrd went 1-for-4 with 2 RBI.
Game 2
- YHC collected 16 more hits in the nightcap, including six that went for extra bases.
- Wallace went 3-for-5 with a home run and drove in five.
- Greer went 3-for-5 with a double, home run and knocked in three runs.
- Hawkins went 3-for-4 with a home runs and 2 RBI.
- Cash collected two more doubles and had 2 RBI.
- Logan Worley had two hits and drove in a run.
- Michael Caldwell (1-0) earned the win in relief.
