YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Taylor Greenberg led the Young Harris College women's lacrosse team to a 19-9 non-conference victory over Newberry College Tuesday (March 2) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

The Mountain Lions improved to 2-2, while the Wolves fell to 0-2.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Young Harris scored the game's first four goals and eight of the first nine as the Mountain Lions took control of the match.
• Greenberg led the Mountain Lions with four goals, while Ryann Haly had three. Aubrie Valvo, Anna Luckie, Ella Hancock, Sierra Haas and Grace Barr had two each, while Emily Flynt and Kinsley Purser had one apiece.
• Haly paced Young Harris with two assists, while Hancock, Luckie, Leigh Anne Turner and Valvo had one assist each.
• YHC held advantages in shots (35-22), ground balls (24-17) and draw controls (17-13).
• Valvo won seven draw controls for the Mountain Lions, while Hancock and Belle Hardwick claimed four each.
• Sarah Beckwith, Valvo and Hancock each scooped up three ground balls, while Greenberg, Eryn Brown, Haly and MacKenzie Kane had two apiece.
• Brown caused five turnovers as YHC forced the Wolves into 26 turnovers.
• The YHC goalies combined for seven saves. Maddy Meyers had three saves in the opening 30 minutes, while Rachel Robb stopped four shots in the second half.
