AUGUSTA, Ga. | November Morton and Kiera Howard each scored 11 points to lead Augusta University past Young Harris College 54-45 in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game Saturday (Feb. 6) afternoon at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars improved to 3-3 overall and to 2-0 in the Peach Belt, while the Mountain Lions to 2-4 and 2-4.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Augusta got off to a fast start as they scored 10 of the game's first 12 points. Young Harris only four points in the first quarter.
• The Jaguars led by 12 points (29-17) at the half and took their largest lead - 17 points (34-17) - midway through the third quarter.
• Young Harris used a 18-7 run at the start of the fourth quarter to pull within four points (49-45) after a three-pointer by Lindsey Caudell with 1:53 to play. Caudell scored eight of her points during the rally.
• Augusta held off Young Harris as they hit three free throws over the game's final minute.
• Carly Winters led Young Harris with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Caudell had 11 points. Niaya White added seven points and seven rebounds.
